Stephen Barker Garden Machinery are located in Old Newton, Stowmarket.

We provide service, repairs and spare parts for most leading makes of garden machinery as well as being an Aspen fuel supplier

We are a factory approved sales & service centre for Mountfield, Stiga, Hayter, Toro & we are also an approved Briggs & Stratton service centre.

We have been serving customers in the Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich area for over 30 years with competitively priced products and service.

We offer full warranty backup, service, spares & Aspen fuel for all the machines we sell.

Service Centre

We offer full repair and spares facilities for all machines that we sell and for most popular garden machinery. We also use Aspen fuel in small machinery to eradicate fuel related starting problems which are caused by pump fuel.

Our friendly and experienced team are here to help; we offer demonstrations of the machines we sell, we even offer a part exchange service.

We stock machines from Hayter & Toro and can supply Mountfield and Stiga machinery upon request.

We stock a large range of lawnmower and garden machinery parts for current and many older machines.

We sell spare parts for most leading lawnmower brands, give us a call or visit our showroom.

Please ensure you have the make and model & serial number of the machine you require parts for, this will make the process of finding the correct parts a lot faster.

The machine serial plate can normally be found around the base of the handles.

Our knowledgeable parts staff will be on hand to help with the correct parts identification.

Please have the Model, type & code ready for engines, this can normally be found on the cowling of the engine its self.

We are also an Aspen fuel stockists.

Stephen Barker Garden Machinery offer a full service and repair facility for all machines that we sell and for most other garden machinery.

If you own a quality lawnmower, or any garden machinery, it is important that you feel totally confident in the ability of your service centre to service your lawnmower correctly.

All servicing is carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s service advice.

All repairs are carried out using genuine manufacturer’s spare parts, in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

By adhering to these specific schedules, owners of lawn equipment can rest assured that your extended warranty is maintained.

Our competitively priced service is inclusive of all parts, labour and VAT.

A service will include:

  • A change of oil, spark plug, fuel filter & oil filter where fitted.
  • Clean/replace air filter depending on type & condition
  • Removal of engine covers, clean cooling system/fins and check for leaks.
  • Sharpen or replace blade/s where required (rotary only)
  • Set up cylinder
  • Clean/grease drive trains and check for obstructions.
  • Check belt/s, bearings and other drive components for wear and replace where needed
  • Pressure wash and test machine.
  • Free collection and delivery in local area.
  • If the cost starts to exceed the quote we will ring before carrying out the work stopping unexpected costs
